Ronald McDonald House - Cleveland

I was visiting my friend Lisa, who was in law school in Cleveland at the time. She was leading a law student volunteer day and I tagged along. We weeded the flower beds for a few hours. It wasn't working with sick kids, as some of the volunteers expected, but it was something the RMH needed.

Afterward, the staff offered us veggies from the garden, since the house grows more produce than the visiting families can use. I made fried green tomatoes that night.
Hibiscus always reminds me of a group project on Hawai'i back in 6th grade. I was responsible for Molokai, while Young spoke about hibiscus. I'll always remember okra is from a variety of hibiscus.
